   A word used to connect two statements that are opposite in meaning to each other.

   Korean definition: 내용이 서로 반대인 두 개의 문장을 이어 줄 때 쓰는 말.

   • 지수는 국어를 잘한다. 하지만 수학은 잘 못한다.

     Ji-su is good at Korean. But she's not good at math.

   • 승규는 여자 친구가 있다. 하지만 결혼할 생각은 없다.

     Seung-gyu has a girlfriend. But he has no plans to marry.
