   A word used when asking what characteristic, content, personality, quality, shape, etc., a person or object has.

   Korean definition: 사람이나 사물의 특징, 내용, 성격, 성질, 모양 등이 무엇인지 물을 때 쓰는 말.

   • 모든 사람들이 그가 어떤 모습을 하고 나타날지 모두 궁금해 했다.

     Everyone was curious about what he would look like when he showed up.

   • 나는 처음 그 사람을 만났을 때 어떤 느낌을 받았는지 기억이 안 난다.

     I don't remember what kind of impression I had when I first met that person.

   which

   A word used when asking what is being chosen among several given people or things.

   Korean definition: 주어진 여러 사람이나 사물 중에서 대상으로 삼는 것이 무엇인지 물을 때 쓰는 말.

   • 이 중에서 어떤 것이 제일 마음에 드니?

     Which of these do you like best?

   • 둘 중에서 어떤 학생이 더 성적이 좋습니까?

     Of the two, which student has better grades?

   A word used to indirectly refer to a subject which does not need to be mentioned.

   Korean definition: 굳이 말할 필요가 없는 대상을 뚜렷하게 밝히지 않고 나타낼 때 쓰는 말.

   • 길을 가는데 어떤 이상한 여자가 나에게 말을 걸었다.

     While I was walking down the street, a certain strange woman spoke to me.

   • 골목길에 초라한 행색을 한 어떤 사람이 쓰러져 있었다.

     Someone in shabby clothes had collapsed in the alley.

   A word used to refer to a subject without setting limits to it.

   Korean definition: 관련되는 대상을 특별히 제한하지 않고 나타낼 때 쓰는 말.

   • 세상 어떤 사람이라도 영원히 살 수 없다.

     No one in the world, whoever they are, can live forever.

   • 우리는 그 문제를 어떤 수를 써서라도 반드시 해결해야만 했다.

     We had to solve that problem by any means.
