   Korean definition: 빛을 내는 물건이 환하게 되다.

   • 방은 두 개의 밝은 형광등으로 밝혀져 있다.

     The room is lit by two bright fluorescent lights.

   • 이곳은 항상 불빛이 환하게 밝혀져 있어서 이 안에 있으면 낮인지 밤인지 알 수가 없다.

     This place is always brightly lit, so when you're inside you can't tell whether it's day or night.

   For the truth, value, right and wrong , fact, etc., of something to be revealed and made known.

   Korean definition: 진리, 가치, 옳고 그름, 사실 등이 드러나 알려지다.

   • 사건의 진상이 밝혀지지 않으니 여러 가지 설과 추측만 난무했다.

     As the truth of the case was not revealed, all kinds of theories and speculation ran rampant.

   • 연구진에 의해 그동안 원인을 알 수 없었던 불치병의 원인이 밝혀졌다.

     The cause of an incurable disease that had long been unknown was revealed by the research team.
