   Korean definition: 가래떡을 얇게 썰어 맑은 국에 넣고 끓인 음식.

     Tteokguk tastes even better topped with egg, seaweed and so on.

   • 설날 아침에는 떡국을 먹어야 복을 받는다는 속설이 있다.

     There's a popular belief that you must eat tteokguk on the morning of Lunar New Year to receive good fortune.
