   Korean definition: 길이, 넓이, 부피 등이 다른 것이나 보통보다 덜하다.

   • 언니는 작은 키를 크게 보이려고 늘 하이힐을 신는다.

     My older sister always wears high heels to make her small stature look taller.

   • 평생을 작은 시골에서 사신 할머니는 큰 도시에 처음 와 보시고 놀라셨다.

     My grandmother, who had lived her whole life in a small village, was amazed on her first visit to a big city.

   small

   Not fitting since the size is smaller than required.

   Korean definition: 정해진 크기에 모자라서 맞지 아니하다.

   • 주문한 반지가 치수가 작게 나와서 낄 수가 없었다.

     The ring I ordered came out too small, so I couldn't put it on.

   • 새 구두가 너무 작아서 발뒤꿈치가 아프다.

     The new shoes are too small, so my heels hurt.

   Lower than others or average in magnitude, scope, degree, importance, etc.

   Korean definition: 일의 규모, 범위, 정도, 중요성 등이 다른 것이나 보통 수준에 미치지 못하다.

   • 언니는 성격이 소심해서 작은 일에도 쉽게 상처를 받는다.

     My older sister is timid, so she gets hurt easily even by small things.

   • 일상의 작은 변화들이 쌓이고 쌓이면 삶의 큰 변화들을 이끌어 낸다.

     Small everyday changes, as they accumulate, lead to big changes in life.

   narrow-minded

   (for character, thoughts, etc.) Narrow and not great.

   Korean definition: 사람됨이나 생각 등이 좁고 훌륭하지 않다.

   • 박 부장은 그릇이 작아서 큰일을 하기 어렵다.

     Department Head Park is small-minded, so it's hard for him to accomplish great things.

   • 김 씨는 통이 작아서 사소한 일에도 마음이 쉽게 요동한다.

     Mr. Kim is narrow-minded, so even trivial matters easily upset him.
