   To keep oneself or an object out of sight.

   Korean definition: 무엇을 다른 사람의 눈에 보이지 않게 하다.

   • 그는 적에게 쫓기게 되자 깊은 산 속에 몸을 숨겼다.

     When he was chased by the enemy, he hid himself deep in the mountains.

   • 생일인 친구가 방으로 들어오자 숨겨 놓았던 선물을 꺼냈다.

     When the birthday friend came into the room, we took out the present we had hidden.

   To conceal a fact or matter from another person so that he/she will not know it.

   Korean definition: 어떤 사실, 일을 다른 사람이 모르게 감추다.

   • 그가 계속 사실을 숨긴다면 오해가 더 커질 것이다.

     If he keeps hiding the truth, the misunderstanding will grow even bigger.

   • 나는 회사에서 해고당한 일을 집에 알리지 않고 숨길 수밖에 없었다.

     I had no choice but to hide the fact that I'd been fired and not tell my family.
