   Korean definition: 아랫사람이나 나이나 지위 등이 비슷한 사람이 물어 보는 말에 대해 부정하여 대답할 때 쓰는 말.

   • 이거 네 책이야?

     Is this your book?

     아니, 그거 유민이 거 같아.

     No, I think that's Yu-min's.

   • 이번 주말에 시간 있어?

     Are you free this weekend?

     아니, 과제가 쌓여서 시간 내기 어려울 것 같아.

     Hey, guess what, I heard Yu-min is getting married next month.

     아니, 정말? 결혼을 왜 이렇게 갑자기 하는 거야?
