   The act of a person going to a mountain or field and catching an animal using a gun, arrow, etc.

   Korean definition: 사람이 산이나 들에 나가 총이나 활 등으로 짐승을 잡는 일.

   • 산에 가셨던 아버지가 꿩 사냥을 해 돌아오셨다.

     My father, who had gone to the mountain, came back from hunting pheasants.

   • 그는 엽총을 가지고서 토끼 사냥을 하러 눈 덮인 산으로 떠났다.

     He took his hunting rifle and set off to the snow-covered mountain to hunt rabbits.

   The act of a strong animal catching a weaker animal to eat.

   Korean definition: 힘이 센 짐승이 약한 짐승을 먹잇감으로 잡는 일.

   • 배고픈 호랑이가 지나가는 물소 사냥에 나섰다.

     A hungry tiger set out to prey on a passing water buffalo.

   • 아무리 맹수라도 오랫동안 먹지 못하면 사냥에 성공하기가 어렵다.

     Even a fierce beast has a hard time hunting successfully if it hasn't eaten for a long time.
