   A grain that has a line in the middle and is usually mixed with rice when it is boiled.

   Korean definition: 주로 밥을 지을 때 쌀과 섞는, 알갱이 가운데 선이 있는 곡물.

   • 어머니는 쌀밥보다 보리를 섞은 밥을 좋아하신다.

     My mother prefers rice mixed with barley to plain white rice.

   • 농부는 밭에 누렇게 잘 익은 보리를 보면서 기뻐했다.

     The farmer was happy to see the golden ripe barley in the field.
