   With a sense of gratitude for something, although it is not good or enough.

   Korean definition: 좋지 않거나 모자라기는 하지만 그것이나마.

   • 싱싱한 꽃은 다 팔리고 없어서 그나마 시들지 않은 꽃을 샀다.

     The fresh flowers were all sold out, so I bought the ones that at least hadn't wilted.

   • 지수는 큰 사고를 당했지만 그나마 목숨을 건질 수 있었던 것은 다행이었다.

     Jisu had a serious accident, but it was fortunate that she at least survived.

   and that; at that; even that

   With disappointment over something when others are unsatisfactory or insufficient.

   Korean definition: 좋지 않거나 모자라는데 그것마저도.

   • 거듭된 흉작으로 그나마 남은 쌀도 다 떨어졌다.

     Because of repeated bad harvests, even what little rice was left ran out.

   • 나는 편의점에서 파는 라면으로 끼니를 때우곤 했는데 그나마 비싸졌다.

     I used to get by on instant noodles from the convenience store, but even those got expensive.
